IP Lawyer, partner
IP Lawyer Peter Åkerlund (partner) assists in creating strategies for the protection of trademarks and other IP assets. He conducts risk analyses related to the use of brands, such as trademark and tradename searches, as well as handles EU, Finnish and international trademark applications. He prepares agreements related to trademarks, licenses and other IPR and engages in contract negotiations related to these. In addition, he handles trademark infringement and opposition matters, for instance counterfeiting cases. Peter also gives advice in registration and infringement cases concerning domains and handles matters related to design rights. He is a professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in trademark and designs matters, a registered trademark and designs attorney before the Finnish Patent and Registration Office in trademark and designs matters, and also authorized to represent clients before Finnish courts. He has been employed at Boco IP since 1999.
